9/1/06: * Column added about

Florida: 7/11/06: * New Column added about the media's coverage of the Lieberman/Lamont primary (revised 7/14) 6/22/06: Welcome to the A Crowded Fire website! If you haven’t been here in awhile, there is a lot of new stuff to check out - almost every section has been updated, including the ones not mentioned here. The main stuff: First, take a look at our coverage of the April 29 march for peace in New York City. Then, look at the new material in the Columns section (especially Aaron's piece on Haditha, which is being published in several other locations) and the Columnettes section (radio show roasts of Russ and Jordan appear at the bottom). On a more serious note, take time to join our boycott against the product “Space Ducks” chocolates. Barricini Kosher Candies is running a deceptive advertising campaign, along with various other crime rings, most likely. You’ll have to click the link to learn more, but here’s a hint: if you were expecting ducks in space, you’ll be sorely disappointed, as we were. This past season of ACF: The Radio Show was our best one yet, but next year will make it look like just come college jackasses fucking around on the air without any real knowledge of how to do a radio show. Though Jordan graduated and will no longer be with us (best of luck making painfully inappropriate comments in whatever profession you choose, Jordan), we are moderately excited to welcome new ACF member, Dan Crossley. Enjoy all the new material, and send us any thoughts, questions, or requests to be added to the Newsletter at AcrowdedFire@Yahoo.com - we are now using this address exclusively.
ACF Protest Coverage: Pictures, Interviews, Speeches, etc. from: March for Peace, Justice, and Democracy - April 29th, 2006 New York City Republican National Convention Protest - August 29th, 2004, New York City "Space Ducks Chocolates" Boycott/Protest - Ongoing

Voice of the People "Exercise your First Amendment rights by listening to 'A Crowded Fire'...Do it!" - Anthony Romero, Executive Director of the ACLU "A Crowded Fire cares about black people" - Kanye West "The comics haven't stopped talking about you....You're very funny!!" - Sal Froio, owner of Sal's Comedy Hole (NYC) "Ridicule is our greatest tool because the monsters can't stand being humiliated. You have the gift for satire/ridicule, so keep up your good work." - Ben Conover, Editor and Publisher, Online Journal "It's good and it's funny." - Frank Fuller from The Last Laugh "I like your writing...very funny!" - Marcelo Lewin from The Daily Farce "Your work is witty and you have great potential" - Schmooley Filistine from Political Hell "Visitng 'A Crowded Fire' is even better than staring at your own reflection in a pool of Carrot Top's liquefied remains while a passing midget plays air-bass to the tune of 'I Whupped Batman's Ass' by Wesley Willis." - Ryan Carey from Gonzo Sandwich "Aaron Sussman's humor demonstrates an inexplicable level of insight for a comic so recently emerging from the throes of adolescence. His political slant, observational interpretations, and social commentary will most assuredly be provoking laughter at the expense of morons, hypocrites, and the right-wing establishment for years to come... or until his curious and untimely death." - Jesse Sommer, The Audio MTO on 88.1 fm "It scares me to think your ideas are actually being broadcast to a listening audience. Well, at least I take comfort in knowing that at 1:00 AM most of the Wesleyan listening audience is either stoned or tripping." - my high school principal "You rabble rousing, spoiled rich kid. Am I happy to know that the 1st Amendment is protecting my right to read your rants - at least for awhile - until W and his crowd win another 4 years and continue to pad the pockets of their cronies, tell the big lies, trash our constitutional rights, and wage more immoral wars under the guise of Homeland Security. What I say is - Americans are so stupid, they deserve to be screwed by W and the neo-cons. When the draft returns and social security collapses and a lot of kids (non-white public school kids) are left behind, they can all cough in the polluted air and drink a glass of brown water - a fitting "cheers" to their ignorance.... I loved the site. I'm happy to see that your parents' money is being well spent." - my high school teacher "He beshat himself much, for he was phlegmatic of the buttocks. He has sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our People and eat out their substance. Or you could get really meta on the review and just use this line" - Thom R. "You are so funny and the most handsome boy in school." - Mom
